School Garden Seed Project
Students from Mr. Kennedy's Class and Mr. Woolcombe's class had a great time in the sun March 24th - along with the rest of the School - planting pole beans, bush beans, nasturtiums and zuchinni plus receiving potatoes and tomato plants to take home for their gardens. This is the eighth year the Farmer's Institute has sponsored the School Seed Project - a great start to Spring and a good beginning for the Fall Fair!
The Pender Islands Farmers' Institute's objectives are:
To improve conditions of rural life.

To arrange on behalf of members for the purchase or sale of commodities.
To promote home economics, public health, child welfare, education and better schools.
