Pender Islands Fall Fair Judging Standards

 

Judging Standards
Section I -Applied Arts and Crafts

 

The following criteria is used for judging this Section:

Overall design of entry.
How well-made the entry is.
Whether the piece reflects the category within which it is entered.

Scorecard for Hobbies and Handicrafts

Design………………………….. 25
Usefulness……………………..10
Finish……………………………..15
Workmanship…………………50
....................................100

All articles in competition must be the work of the exhibitor and entered in the name of the exhibitor.
All articles must have been made in the last 12 months.
Judges will be looking for superior workmanship
All entries are the work of non-professionals.
One entry per class
In the case of models (cars, ships, etc) they can be hand made or from kits
